I have only been reading this forum for like 2 days and just registered.
I always wanted to create my own batman cowl I was just wondering what the best way to go about it would be?

There is a pepakura file that could be used as a template to cut out thin flexible foam pieces to make an inexpensive batman begins cowl.

It's a TDK file and very low def at that. I would advise against that you would not like the results IMO.

thanks for the help guys I think I actually answered my own question ill be making a custom cowl out of latex rubber i found a pretty easy tutorial on youtube so yah ill probably do it when i have the time and money which both means not right now i will start a new thread for it though.

how a work like this is done??

Hi, I'm from Spain so I try explain this much clear I can.

Recently I finish my first cowl, but when I paint it, I see that the cowl have many points and little pieces of dry latex I break when I dremel it .

My question is: Must I let the cowl like this, or there is some way to reppair it? Maybe pouring on another thin layer of latex?

If exists some way to reppair it, please explain me more clearly as you can.

Thanks.

Batgrayson, get yourself a cast of your head and shoulders and start working on your sculpt. If you are gonna do any costuming, it's a great thing to have around!

I made one by putting a plastic bag over my head and cutting the mouth out. Then had someone wrap paper tape -the tape from ups you get wet to stick- around my head. It it very forming and easy to work with. Then I cut it off my head and glued it back together.

I then took melted gluesticks and poured them into the form to coat it with a thin layer of glue. Sprayed it with non smell cooking oil, then plaster slushed it. I broke the mold and had a head form I worked from. cheap and pretty easy to make. not 100% detail but for a batman cowl you only want your head dimensions.
