I'm trying not to put any spoilers in this thread, but I do name some characters and locations, so if you want to be completely 'in the dark' when you see the film, you should probably avoid reading any further.

The following stills are from the second Hellboy II trailer, and are arranged in the order in which they appear in that trailer. Follow along at home!
Blackwwod's Auction House: an obvious reference to Algernon Blackwood, a writer of 'weird' tales. His works inspired H. P. Lovecraft. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algernon_Blackwood
The royal crown of Bethmoora: Bethmoora is a fictional deserted city created by Lord Dunsany. Dunsany's works have influenced a large number, including such luminaries as Lovecraft, Guillermo del Toro, Robert E. Howard, Neil Gaiman, Arthur C. Clarke, Michael Moorcock and Ursula K. le Guin.
Blackwood's auction catalog for the crown: Presumably reads, "The royal crown of Bethmoora ... exquisite Celtic ... from a long lost civilization ... the first time that this ... has appeared at auction ... Dating approximately from the early first century." Note that the lot number is 777, a possible reference to the magical properties of the number seven and / or the auction at the beginning of 'The Phantom of the Opera,' where the famous chandelier is listed as lot 666.
Currently reigning king of Bethmoora. Note the mechanical hand, an obvious reference to Kronen's mechanical hand in the first Hellboy film.
Left to right: current BPRD Director Tom Manning, new BPRD agent Johann Kraus (in the funny suit), and BPRD agent Liz Sherman. This film will mark the introduction of the beloved Johann Kraus to the BPRD. Hellboy comic readers will already be familiar with him. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Kraus
Door to the Troll Market: the otherworldly version of eBay. Inscribed around the top is the Latin phrase "Unus Mundus" = "One World."
John M. Carter, Inc. sign in city background. Possible reference to John Carter of Mars, by Edgar Rice Burroughs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Carter_(character)
Carter's Dream Hotel sign in New York City. A humorous reference to H. P. Lovecraft's Randolph Carter and his Dream Cycle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randolph_Carter
City of the Future billboard: possible reference to RoboCop. Note also the use of the Star Trek (TOS) font.
