Heather's 2013 Halloween Costume Contest Entry

This is a 100% homemade R2D2 costume I made with and for my 6 year old son Aiden. This is my first costume I have ever made, unless you count a scarecrow costume which was just sewing on some patches on overalls. The challenge was getting the dome head piece to stay on properly and finding the right amount of openings so he could see best. The body was made from a trash can, the dome was paper mache and the rest was odds and ends we came up with along the way: plastic fencing slats, wheels, paint and bike light.
