Hello guys :)!

I think it's time to introduce you to my tiny big project which is... the hearthstone box replica from the newest Blizzard game

Here's the oryginal one:

For the last... let's say 2 months I've been trying to get this thing real. I started this project with almost no cash and no perspective for a job. In a crazy turn of events I actually got a job... for the United Nations :D. Because of that within next 2 weeks I should buy all tools and materials I need to start reproducing it but first things first...

First pictures of this project:

There's none... but that will change I hope ^^.

In general I hope to finish it before Valentine's Day... I wanna give it to somebody plus make few extra copies for me and maybe clients if I will have any :D. Cant wait to receive all the stuff I bought :D. Gonna have a lot of fun with patinas and waxes.

VERY cool!!!!!!!

Thx man ^^

Could you provide any details on how you made the beveled pieces? I saw that you mentioned using an upside down T and then filling it. But could you provide details on what material was used for the T, and the fill (clay? bondo?), and whether you used any glue? Looks really great! I'm assuming you used the same technique on the star emblem? Any other materials used? Or tips? Looking to apply this technique to some emblems I'm making.

Thanks!

All you need is styrene sheets for the T "construction", bondo to fill it and super glue, that's all. Easy and effective :). Any tips... hmm... not really. As I said - it's really easy to apply, you just have to be precise and careful with sharp bevels, corners etc. :)

Oh two more things - spot fillers and spray putty ^^

Thanks for the details. That helps a lot. I can tell it still takes a skilled hand to get things looking that clean. Again, great job so far!

...along with a papercraft prototype.

The box will be very similar to it's oryginal except top front part. In my concept bottom and top are the same unlike the oryginal box with an arch on the front left and right.

This is looking quite cool, looking forward to seeing it shape up farther!

I really like that you did a papercraft model test.

New pics. Got most of the stuff I need at this point. At the end of next week I should have everything plus decoration should be ready for molding :).
