Anyone know of any Headless horseman costumes from the Burton version of Sleepy Hollow?
Looking for accurate costume pieces for a display, I know Tom Spina had the original on his site...just curious as to any makers???

I believe the Prop House had 1 at one time.. I always wanted a good replica of that costume.. It would have went great with the Hessian skull I have

You can find them on E-bay from time to time. There WAS a licensed version and it looked decent and from what I understand made fairly accurate. But don't count me on the accuracy that's just what I read when they were releasing it.

I was unaware that there was a licensed version :confused

I've seen the generic ones before

When the film was released you actually could buy one that was made from Colleen Atwood, the costume designer. I think only 10 were made and the price was somewhere around $10,000.

Yeah, it wasn't cheap. I wanted one but was TOO steep for me. Went well with the licensed weapons they did too. Wish more movie would do what they did.

I had a chance to work with the designer/makers and found out that there were..27 or 29 complete costumes made for the film..the designer kept one and the studio ended up with the rest after the film was made. I had a chance to photograph the actual cape for references & I found some good pix of the jacket online. One of the best costumes I've ever seen!
Little known fact - the design on the jacket-front was silkscreened with silver puff ink and then aged to resemble real bullion embroidery. I thought that was brilliant!

Ohhhh... Interesting...:cool:love

Yeah! What He Said! Burton definitely delivered on that movie, and some really great props/costumes:thumbsup

I've seen pics of the cape but have never been able to identify the pattern or material that is made out of. Any ideas?

Jayn, any idea what material the cape was made from and what the pattern is? Trying to make an accurate display for this coming Halloween but am coming up short on the cape.
