Head Piece to the Staff Of Ra - dimensions?

I have the Best of Lucasfilm Archives book which has the head piece measuring at 9cms by 11cms, but with it being round neither match up. Can any one come up with an accurate measurement?
Any help would be appreciated.

ive got, from stars wars to indiana jones, the best of lucasfilm archives, and it lists the same dimensions there

i dont have a ruler handy, but it looks like its slightly oblong, so maybe the dimensions are correct

I just took accurate measurements of my metal cast headpiece and here is what mine are:

Circumference: 10 11/16th inches
Diameter (from both left to right and top to bottom): 3 3/8th inches
Thickest part (in the middle by the bird): 6/16th's of an inch
Thinest part (at the edges) 1/8th inch

I'd add that the later generation casts of the headpiece tend to be significantly smaller. A friend purchased a resin copy from a dealer in Florida, and it was TINY compared to mine. I suppose the closer yours is in relation to the Lucasfilm dimensions, the more "first generation" it is likely to be...
