I must've watched the trailer atleast 20 times by now. I must say that I really enjoyed it. I got more out of that two minutes than I did from it's hour and a half long predecessor (Im really hopin' that Aliens Vs. Predator 2 is atleast two hours).
Now, if the trailer isn't lying, the movie looks like it's got every element that a Predator movie should have - violence, gore, and the skinned bodies hanging upside down. Plus we get to see him in two different environments: a forest and a city.
The new additions to his arsenal are cool, the whip especially. The dual cannons aren't too shabby, either. Plus, you've got the trusty, "same 'ole" weapons from the previous films - wristblades, spear, shuriken.
The lighting looks to be much better too. It's not too light and not to incredibly dark, either. The helmet looks really good here -
Plus, it also looks like Ian Whyte has finally come out of his shell as a performer. He seems to be a lot more "active," like he's really into the character.
The Predalien looks pretty cool, but I wish they hadn't gone with the fan-boy dredlocks.
All in all I really liked the trailer. BUT it's just a trailer. I remember being excited after watching the AVP trailer. And, well we all know how I feel about that movie. I saw that Carl brought up "Cautious Optimisim." Well, I couldn't agree more. We'll have to wait until December to see how "on-par" the trailer is with the movie.
lol, everyone is entitled to an opinion, and regardless of how good of an artist someone is, if that person's opinion sucks, then they should be told that, then have the reason why there opinion sucked explained to them, so that they could learn from it, and then their opinion could actually matter in the future. there are certain "lines" that people just can't cross without setting off a few mines, and in this case, it was a whole damn mine field... with a holy f*ing motherload of really big mines... the bad kind... so in a very mister rogers like tone... good day
Wow. Just wow.
