P.S. Haunted Mansion Sundial on eekBay!

MOD EDIT: Please do not post ebay links, thanks.

I've seen the same sundial go for $35, but it wasn't listed as being the same kind as found at the haunted mansion. I honestly think that bidders think it's from the park.

Yeah, it seems that the folks who don't know that that particular sundial is the same kind they use on the attraction seem to price it that low. This guy started at $75 and the only reason why I even considered buying it at such a price is because time is of the essence for me (it's supposed to be a Valentine's Day gift for my wife).

I sure did not think it was original :)

...got mine last year for 100.00ish and was happy to get it, considering it was a discontinued item. Goes to show patience is a virtue on eekBay if they've sold for 35.00.

Not necessarily. When collectors want, the price jumps. They know it's not "park used", but they still want an original exact item for their collection.
Like the Aiwa Walkman from Back to the future. The ones that pop up for sale on eBay are NOT PRODUCTION used, yet BTTF fans run those up to $400-500 price tags. And non production Packard Bell AR-851 radios ALL FETCH $400-700 these days because that model was used on Gilligan's Island.
And if a seller knows this, they will put it in their description and title to draw more attention from fan bidders.

SCORE! After the previous eBay auction for the sundial reached about $160 bucks, I gave it up to someone whose proxy bid was about $400...but less than 3 hours later, I found the sundial on eBay for 30 bucks with shipping! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!

does anyone have an image of the tightrope portrait with a resolution higher than 575x1598? the one i have i believe is of the one sold at auction a few years ago.

Not a prop, but I have an old LP of the Hunted Mansion from when I was a kid. It has Ron Howard as one of the teens that runs in to the mansion to get away from the storm. Flip side has some Huey Dewey Louis Trick or Treat for Halloween story.

Thats a hard one to find - I started trying to recreate it, but kind of lost interest in the process.

Well we decided to up the ante with our Mansion plaque display...when you come down the basement stairs this is the first thing you see.
It was just a brick cubby area with the plaque and a green light. Wife and I went to work on tonight.

That. Is. Awesome.

Picked this up from a recent trip to Disneyland.
