Do I get it right, that the sidewalls, etc. will be mounted on the model, not as the Randy Cooper parts the model has to be cut down to it's base?!

Ok... I'm sure you guys are working on how to setup the 3 levels... here's my suggestion:

Simple Pack - Sidewalls - Sidewalls, Mandible, Greeble Box, Landing Gear Covers and Jawbox
Medium Pack - Sidewalls above + Cabin Cone, Cannon & Yoke, Radar Dish and Mount
Full Pack - Medium Pack with all the Landing Gear

That way with just the Simple pack you can build a pretty accurate Falcon since many just want the sidewalls anyway up until you want everything like the cabin cone and landing gear to really sell it in landed position. Whatcha think?

Johnny Crash, MMI, has a set of PE vent covers and internals for the Hasbro; which are available at the Starship Modeler store which is unfortunately sold out ATM. But I'm not sure if he will make them for the Deagostini, but I hope he does because the ones for Hasbro are AWESOME!!!
