Has Anyone here modified a Hasbro Iron Man Helmet to make it more screen accurate? I am currently working on modifying mine, but i was curious if anyone else has done so.

So far i basically striped it and removed the electronics, face plate and "ears". I plan on making a new more accurate face plate and add the accurate "ears".

I think the helmet it self is pretty accurate.

I'll post some pics as i progress. I just wanted to get everyones ideas/opinions.

I wish you good luck. that helmet is so wrong in so many ways, I modified one and put bondo around the eyes to make the eyes smaller. and then i got tired of it and sold it as a work in progress.

I think it's rather large. Also, I don't think the back has any details on it (and the jaw line is different, too). Sounds like an aweful lot of work if you're trying to get it screen accurate. However, I wish you good luck and look forward to seeing your progress.

In my opinion its a waste of time to modify that. There is no way make that screen accurate. Even if you did it would still be a bobble head.

And to say its already pretty accurate to begin with?

Wow... Lol

Well Stealth, as someone else said, it IS screen accurate.. for the toy helmet the kid wore in the 3rd act :D.. course might be cuz hasbro had already had them ready and gave one to use on set.

I thought about it before, but the face area is too "shallow".

Exactly. The face is too flat, and certain proportions are off. My initial reaction was to simply mod the eyes, but after studying it more, I realized that you'd really have to resculpt the whole face and make it more pronounced.

Are you talking about this one?
