I ordered mine on 4/9/16 and it was dispatched on the 12/10/16.

Sucks that people didn't get theirs. You'd think they would have got enough in.

it's not just the helmets they cancelled, but most Rogue One product.

I guess I won't be getting the Black Series figures I ordered aswell

I just contacted Zavvi about the cancellations and asked why we can't wait until the stocks are available! Hopefully I'll get a response within 48 hours.

My guess would be vacuformed ABS.

I think more likely 3D-printed, in the same way as the TFA stormtroopers.

Pretty sure both TFA and R1 use injection molded armor and helmet parts, based on what I've read and the look of the armor

I can categorically say they weren't vacformed for 100% certain. most likely injection moulded. The plastic on the background/regular trooopers was kind of a flexible but tough material.

I placed my order with Zavvi back in September and they emailed me yesterday to inform me that they've cancelled it, because they don't actually have any stock! Bloody ridiculous!!! I'm pretty gutted as the helmet was supposed to arrive this week, plus it was only £65.99 with free delivery. I hate it when sites put stuff on for pre-order and then cancel your order when it turns out they can't get the item in question.

I've had a quick look online but no luck with Argos, Toys R Us or similar. The only place that still has it for pre-order is Forbidden Planet, who claim stock will arrive on 20th December. Are they lying too?

True indeed - it was due for release on October 31st. However my pre-order got cancelled by the supplier with this email:

"We're sorry to inform you that some or all of your order, number XXX has now been cancelled as Star Wars: Rogue One The Black Series Stormtrooper Voice Changer Helmet Prop Replica is no longer available. We have tried to source further stock but we have been unsuccessful, sorry to disappoint you. Please note you have not been charged for this item and no payment will be taken."

This leads me to believe there's a general supplier problem for Europe, but for some reason it's still up for pre-order on Forbidden Planet's site!

EDIT: I guess they could be sold out, but I'd still rather have waited for new stock and not just had it cancelled on my behalf!
