Hello,

Is there anyone on the board who has the same cane that I offer on the JY.
I would think similar ones are out there but nobody can show me. Please any help or toughts on this would be great.

for the JY:
In 1994 I got a production made Jurassic Park promotional cane from the owner of the cinema group in the Netherlands. He had gotten it during a business trip to Universal while buying the distribution rights for Jurassic Park. This was during production of the movie. I got the cane in late Â’94 when he got rid of most of his gifts he gotten over the years.

The cane has been in my possession ever since. This is not a fan made replica or a recast.
Most likely the promotional canes were made as gifts for the crew and investors. I also found out that this type of cane was on display at Universal for promoting the film in a prop-display.

I have never seen another cane similar to yours but I have seen a amber rock with a bug in it that had almost the exactly same type of wings which are obviously fake. It was a fan made piece.

I have one. Exactly the same.

Actually, I was thinking of selling mine. It's not a fan made piece, but rather the studio piece that was distributed before the release of the film to a few "elite" people. The markings on the can match the screen used piece, so I can assume it was taken from the original molds. It's the full 34" cane with mosquito amber handle knob.

I have never seen another one of these for sale.

PM if interested.

:)

That looks similar to the one Phillipes was selling. He said his was an original made for the movie. I think it was selling for upwards of $3,000.
