Has anyone ever opened their collection to the public?

I brought my collection to the 'Browncoat Ball' in 2011. I was given a hotel room to set up in, and actually stayed in the room next door. No insurance or anything, and everyone who came through was appreciative of the trouble I went through to set up the 'prop museum'.
I even bought three mannequins for it.
Now, I host Shindigs every other month and those who attend can see all my stuff. It's nearly all out on display.

I've done it with friends and their displays at some cons and events that have happened here and 99% of the time everyone really appreciates the displays. There was one instance where my Alien head from Bruce Hansing was damaged when I loaned it for display and have since never gone back to that group.

At Dublin Comic Con all my collection as well as alot of my friends (and some great RPF'ers) will be on display and I am really looking forward to showing it all off in public (and making sure everything is safe for everyone too)
