Harry Potter: Hogwarts Textbooks

Thanks so much for doing Lockhart's test! I love the way the Amortentia label looks on the heart bottle. I did get a set of bottles from Michaels so now I can try putting your labels on. Yay!

@Hinkypunk: Hay just checking in to see how your coming along with the White Rat whisky, Knotgress mead, and schletters fine whisky. Keep my posted and keep up the great work :)

@Fenris - Its not so much that its a lot of work to design, but itd be a pain to put it together. If there wasn't a cheap prop of it readily available, I'd do it, but since there is, that is just gonna be an item where people will have to shell out the $35 for.

@stacy - You got bottles?! yay! Be sure to take some pics if you try out the labels. I'm out of paper with adhesive on the back so Im gonna try to get some more before I print others

@norbert - I had a hard time with Knotgrass Meade. I mentioned it to Bruce, and maybe he can do that one. Schletters looks like itd be difficult for the both of us unless we just use generica ornamental designs on it. Theres a lot of really tiny intricate stuff on there.

@Hinkypunk: okay I understand that with Schletters, if it can be done that fine. How about White Rat whisky?
@Brucelee42: have you tryed your hand at Knotgrass Meade?

Here is the Knotgrass mead label. I had to invent some of smaller text, as it was unreadable in the pics. If someone can get better reference I will update it. Enjoy!

@Brucelee42: Thanks. If I find some more photos I will be sure to let you know I've posted all the photos I ready have and have not come across any other :( but I will still look from time to time

As I look on the photos of the bottle for the hoghead. I wounder if any one know how to make the bottles look like they have been around for like 50 years or more. There are some really thick dust on them. does any one know how do to it or how to go about doing it?

if you want them dusty, im sure rubbing them with a glue stick and rolling it down a dirty floor would work ^_^ or dirt outside

@Hinkypunk: that a good idea, thanks I might have to try that. I try it indoor first since we have about 20'' of snow out side right know

Try with varnish and real dust before varnish dries. You´ll have to save many months of home cleaning...XDD

Hinkypunk, what did you use for the liquid in your Amortentia? I like the way it bubbles and it's such a nice shade of pink. Is it dish soap or maybe bubble blowing fluid?

its actually a mixture of some pink perfume and pink body wash. caress i think it was with the little beads in it which have floated to the bottom. Its hard to see in the photo, but I also took this really really cheap lip gloss from walgreens and made these pink swirls that sit on top of the pink stuff. Its really really pretty, you can see some of it at the edge of the waterline.

I also got a can of chrome spray paint for unicorn blood. they have mini cans of it at michaels for 2 bucks! i made the labels for that and a few others but didnt get a chance to post them before heading off to work. will post tonight if i get a chance
