Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

re: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

Yeah, I had hoped this would be an awesome movie...that trailer burned that hope to the ground....

Just saw a trailer for Hansel & Gretel...

Dear god I hope people are smart enough to not pay money for this. Ok, so Hollywood ran vampires into the ground, then they ran zombies into the ground and now they're trying desperately to get this "Fairy tales are real and dark and gritty" genre to catch on and it was old after the second TV series came out like a year ago.

Also, is Hansel & Gretel actually Van Helsing 2? Or are they just ripping it off so bad that I can't tell the difference?

Re: Just saw a trailer for Hansel & Gretel...

I sincerely hope so, but then what will they ruin next?

Oh God, I just realized that whatever they decide to ruin next there's no stopping them...

Monsters...

re: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

That's all I see when I watch the Trailer is Van Helsing 2. Only replace sexy Kate Beckinsale in a corset for a slightly less sexy Gemma Arterton in black leather.

re: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

There's no way "less sexy" should be used in the same sentence as Gemma Arterton. She is absolutely amazing.

re: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

Oh don't get me wrong, Gemma Arterton is epic sexy. I just find Kate Beckinsale to be a little bit more.

re: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

Saw the trailer.

What the

Why do

Can't they

That's a real friggin movie? That people are supposed to pay to see?

I'm surprised Nick Cage isn't in it.

re: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

That looked so bad I HAVE to go see it.

re: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

Oh, I may watch it at the dollar theater to get a chuckle out of it, but there's no way I'm seeing that for full price.

And Dbuck, Nick Fury could only improve that movie. As he would ANY movie.

re: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

The Grimm brothers are rolling in their graves right now. If you want gritty and dark then film them how they originally wrote them, remove the changes made over the century to censor and Disney-fy them.

re: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

Overheard at the theater once the redband trailer played: "A Redbox, at best."
Indeed!

re: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

I totally want to see this movie. Will it be award-winning greatness? Hell no! Will it be fun and amusing? Absolutely!

Probably won't pay $12/ticket for it, of course, but hey.

re: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

It's the sort of film that makes me happy I have a MoviePass membership. I don't feel like a chump even if I do see it.

re: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

I think Gemma Arterton is so frickin hot but even with all that hotness on the screen for an hour and a half, I think I am going to have to pass on this one.

re: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Post-release)

I always felt movies that come out in the theaters aren't meant to be good. Things good enough for a random night out with low disappointments or high school kids to go see with there girlfriends and if the guy fails to make-out with whoever... well... there's always something else mildly entertaining yet uncommiting to watch.
