If we go with glass do you want to do a threaded lens ring or leave it as is, which was a slip fit that you had glue in place?

1) Can we look into a glass lens- pending the cost difference?
2) A metal vs resin screen would be better but not necessary.
3) Threading the lens ring would start to make the part expensive, and I don't see how much difference it would make vs the slip-fit since they would look the same assembled.

Would it be cost-prohibitive to cast the mesh tip out of some sort of metal?

Glass would be nice, but if it's pricey I'd rather have plastic to keep costs down. Same with the mesh. If we could do metal for a good price, fine, otherwise resin.

I believe the scope looks great the way it is so I would need a cost comparison to make this decision.

I would like to see the cost for glass. If it is close, I'd opt for that over plastic but if it is a huge difference, then I'd be ok with plastic.

As for the tip, I'd definitely prefer metal mesh to match the metal scope

I just spoke with my machinist and because he is really interested in this project he said he can thread the scope bell and ring and notch the ring for no more then $5 for both parts

I’m still working on the glass lens for the rear scope bell and I’m working on a brass screen insert for the front tip.
