Hammer's Slammers

A friend of mine and I have decided to start working on a Hammer's Slammers costume. I'll be looking for some ideas and advice.

The costumes we are going to make will consist of a base uniform, boots, body armor, and a helmet. We are also looking at ideas for building the Slammer's iconic Powerguns.

If anyone has ever done this before, please let me know. I searched the forums and came up with nothing, but I've found some interesting concept art and miniatures out there on the web.

This sounds awesome!

All I remember from reading a few stories is that their uniforms had no visible rank markings or insignia, just names (IIRC) – to thwart snipers.

Don't forget about using the book cover art for inspiration.

Anyone have a link to a good armor template? We plan to build it out of foam.

Looking for shoulder armor and leg greaves.

Could you use Colonial Marines armor? That should be easy to find patterns for. Well, easier...
