Well, that’s a preview of what’s to come. Just need to make the shell tonight and hopefully get some castings going by tomorrow night.

to be continued….

Thanks for viewing

Very nice work. But, design-wise for 343 Industries, shouldn't the Halo 4 helmet be the exact same helmet/armor as Halo 3?

Not necessarily, if they canexplain it, then I'm fine with it.

I still need to sand the jacket some, but I may go straight into casting because I have man hands and some work gloves to throw on. :)

I shoud have some castings going tonight. Hyper, I'll send you the ugliest casting for you to work on...lol.

Thanks guys,

Tony

Take two:

:DREMIX!! They see me rollin’…lol. Ok, enough nonsense. I present to you, the remold of the FoSho!

This time, things went a lot better. Tried something new recommended by my man Hyper and I believe this mold will do. See pics below:

Put it on a tripod, so I could pivot the model around and get the silicone to get into all the details better

Well, let me know what you think guys! Pretty stoked that this mold worked.

Thanks for viewing guys!

Why are you using dragon skin? That's basically rubber, isnt it? Is that JUST for a mould, not for the actual helmet?

Also, where did you get the model? I cant find hardly any pics of Halo 4, let alone models of the armors.

I believe I have the pdo file. If not they have one on the 405th.

This looks amazing! Are you thinking about selling these puppies? They are beautiful, and speaking of I can't wait to see one of these all painted and weathered up. Again, can't wait bro.

You and Blackula have done such fantastic jobs with these and your other projects, I might have to try and convince one of you to let me drive over so you can mentor me for a day or two. :D I could never get past the resin stages of pep, once I started slapping the bondo on I couldn't smooth out the details properly.

Anyway, keep up the awesome work. :thumbsup You guys make me want to pep again.

The Dragon skin was used to make the mold, we usually use Rebound 25 but had about 4 gallons of Dragon Skin laying around so we decided to use it

I got the model from the 405th

Looks great

Thank You

This is awesome! Can't wait for the game in November.

You are correct they do have the file running around on the 405th

Actually I am finishing up one as we speak, it is being donated to the Childs Play organization for there auction

Yes these helmets are currently for sale, they are listed in the junkyard section

LoL sounds good, let us know, theres nothing to it to do the Bondo process, I just apply it in thin layers and work it up, and thanks for the compliment

cool, well I tried doing it in thin layers and failed miserably, I actually scrapped the Iron Man helmet because I was out of bondo and it was to far gone, I just use my dremel to cut out the face plate and called it a day.

As far as coming up there, I'm game whenever you guys are free, maybe right before another con we are all going to when I'll be renting a hotel anyway or something or if you guys have free time and want to meet up somewhere let me know.

As for wanting to pep again, I've decided since I have fiberglass and fiberglass resin I'll give it another shot and I'll throw together something Halo 4 or ODST related to get in the spirit for the up coming game.

Finally had some time to post some finished pics of one of the Halo 4 helmet casts that I decided to paint so I could show one finished, for this one I installed an ugly off color goldish visor, not my prefrence but it was cheap and I had it lying around, the helmet does have the silver scratch marks but they were drowned out from the camera flash also I think I blackwashed it a little to much thats why it looks all dirty and nasty, my next one will be a little cleaner and an actual gold visor, hope you guys like it
