fiiiiiiinally came back to this project.
I decided to cast up a new copy and start over. I filled in the right side of the mask with some magic sculpt to fix the symmetry problem.
I'm going to put on a better paint job and probably switch up some colors a little bit. Here is what i have so far. Still figuring out the strap system...

Finished the cracked paint layer. This is only my 2nd time doing this kind of paint job. It's better than the 1st but i still need practice. I'll add the shadows and dirt layers next.

Ok, so i airbrushed in some shadows so it will read from a distance. Then i added the dirt layer, thinned down acrylic paints. I decided to make the red around the mouth blood instead of paint. It's hard to make a good blood color so i used some blood makeup i had. I sealed the hell out of it since it cleans up with water. I used 2 types of sealer so i could keep the blood glossy. Overall I'm much happier with the paint job. I punched up the colors as much as i could before it got too cartoony. Still gotta figure out a strap design.

So i started working on the primary weapon. It's going to be a staff type thing with saw blades attached to it. Still working on it...
So far i managed to laser cut some mock up saw blades to see how it will look. Just a test...

While i slowly work on the rest of the suit i wanted to start on some adornments for the coat. Originally i wanted to have some buttons of warning symbols that related to him. Such as, electric, acidic, and explosive hazard symbols. I found some i liked but not all 3. I eventually decided to just have them laser cut. I cut the acidic/chemical burn one (relates to the acid in his squirting flower) and molded it. I cast up a few and finally painted one. One down, two to go. However, they may be too large. I believe they are 2.5 inches.

Sadly i cut the "buttons" too large. I'll have to re-size them and cut them again. Oh well.

About 6 months later and i have finally been able to work a tiny little bit on this. The mask is still in it's unfinished state on a shelf. I am still piecing together the suit. It will be mostly modification on my end.
I ordered a vest that seems as if it wont work for this but i think that as a whole it will. I gave it a similar treatment to the jacket. I also found a patch i like that i will be adding to it soon. I ordered a shirt for under the vest and will also give it the treatment.

i just found this thread and I have one word for ya...... AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its an amazing rendition of the joker. maybe I might try a post apokalypse batman (see what I did there). I'll be following this for updates and inspiration. Good luck.
