We attended the Best of Anime 2010 cosplay competition errr...yesterday.lol. (it's 4:21 am now. :confused)
I entered my Guyver Valcuria. It's her 2nd appearance (i have nothing new at the moment.lol) and surprisingly she won 2nd place.
thumbsup SOOOO COOOL! I didn't expect to win. srsly.
I also used my Black Cat costume and it's also her 2nd appearance in a con. I wasn't able to retrieve any photos when I first launched her sometime May (i think). I changed to Black Cat just after the catwalk so I can roam around a bit. I always get mobbed for photos as Guyver. LOL.
It was funny because after the catwalk, I changed to BC already and was in a corner with a friend having some fun photoshoot. As the winners were announced I was surprised I was called 2nd place winner. The people were surprised also because I'm in a new costume already. hahaha! So When I accepted the award I just brought my Guyver helm.
Another funny experience was, during the catwalk when I stepped on the stage it was quiet. No reactions. i don't know what people were thinking and the bad part was I was called during the music transition so there was basically dead air. haha. I don't knwo if the audience were awed or they just don't know who i was cosplaying. i was speculating the latter. LOL. The only reaction i got was when I did my stunt and almost out balanced. Thay laughed. T_T so i thought to myself "DAMN STUPID ME!" :cry so when i went down i already gave hope and shrugged the idea of winning. HAHA. so when my name was called for 2nd place, I was really shocked. :confused
Anyway, there were some notable people who knew who Guyver was. I am often mistaken as a guy or a male character until i speak. Then they apologize for calling me "kuya" (brother). Some say "Oh you're a girl?!" LOL.
Robert didn't cosplay. He played the photographer because he wanted to take a break.LOL.

But I showed him that nobody messes with the Guyver...especially the female Guyver Valcuria.:angry:lol
