Why am I the last human to find out about this movie? Was everybody that busy that no one could woken me up?

I think I can easily con the wife into seeing this.

Wasn't sure where else to post this and didn't think it deserved it's own thread, but Chris Pratt RT'd a pic of my Son in his home made Star-Lord costume tonight. :)

I took a bunch of photos of my Son, but figured this was one that Chris would like.

I was still on the fence about seeing this movie until I watched these two clips. Now I can't wait to see it lol.

Well the overwhelmingly positive early reviews of the film indicate its everything we wanted it to be and then some. Great characters, a nearly complete self contained storyline, fantastic effects and action scenes , lots of humour and a definite heart and soul thats all its own. Given how hard Marvel has been pushing it over the last few months I figured they knew they had a mega hit on their hands. It is apparently everything a Micheal Bay film isn't . Not long to go now!!!!!

A couple coworkers were lucky enough to attend the premiere last night, both said it's the best Marvel movie they've seen yet, better than TWS from start to finish according to one of them :eek General impression is that it's an entertaining and funny movie, and yep Rocket stole the show as to be expected.

We went to the Hollywood premiere last night, and were lucky enough to get into the autograph area. We got to meet James Gunn, Zoe Saldana, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Rooker and Bradley Cooper (who spent 10x as much time with the fans than anyone else....he must have taken 100 selfies with people's cell phones).

Anyway, had all of them autograph my Son's home made Star-Lord helmet. Then at the last minute, on his way in to start the movie, James Gunn saw us again, stopped, HUGE smile on his face, reached his hand out at me to shake my hand, and talked to my Son. Loved his costume, and HE asked us if we'd like to get a quick photo.

YEP.

Can not wait to see this movie...

Oh....and my Son told Bradley Cooper that he had a fake laugh.....but he didn't get the joke.

And then when he handed is Star-Lord blaster (which we also got signed) to Benicio Del Toro, he said "You can just add that to your collection". Del Toro and everyone around us totally cracked up.

"Oh we have a post-credit sequence for you! Oh, do we ever! Yes, well we are connected, first of all we are connected…because of certain characters…but we have a post-credit sequence that’s all our own! That in all honestly we have just been doing the past few days so I think it’s going to be a great deal of fun for people. You don’t even want to know what it is! Pure joy, pure joy, that’s two words!"

The Marvel Mega Monster just keeps flattening the opposition. The review embargo is well and truely off, basically because it seems that everybody loves the film!!! Nice summary of none spoilerish opinions on Rotten Tomatos( as long as you don't click on the links). Very retro, funny as hell, wierd and wonderful to watch seems to be the basic summary. Six days and counting!!!

Absolutely amazing film. Lucky enough to see the premiere on thursday. Unfortunately the cinema didnt have the ending sequence. But we all enjoyed it that much weve booked for a 2nd show on release day so will catch the sequence then. Everyone cracking up throughout the film. First film in the uk in a long time everyone applauded at the end. Doesnt happen that much here im not sure if it happens often in the states.
