Greg Day does not deliver

Well it took four years in the hobby, but it seems I'm finally getting ripped off. I sent user gregday a money order for some Herowares Batman Begins boots back in middle February and they have yet to find their way to my doorstep. Anybody else get something from this guy? I sent him some emails and know he's got internet access because he's been active here. I can't really tell on the bat forums. I've really had it with this guy, he's exhausted my patience. It doesn't take much effort to put some boots in a box and send them out. You have a chance to redeem yourself Greg send me the boots.

Hes famous for his Batman Closet. He can manufacture some serious items. Yet...Ive been waiting over 2 months for him to ship due to a lack of cardboard boxes. :confused

Emails go unanswered - you have to hound him for a reply.

He promised the items would go out the day after I paid. I paid immediately with payapl. Now after all this time I`m told they have been shipped to the UK with no tracking. Ive asked 3 times if this means they have no insurance and he blanks the question. 1,000 USD and not a single bit of rubber to show for it.

He is selling other items in the JY - I suggest everyone beware untill this is sorted.

I hope this is just laziness rather than theft.

Maybe ask the Mods to ban him from the JY untill this gets sorted out.

I hope everything turns out for both of you.

Keep us posted!

I think this thread did the trick. I just got an email from Greg with a tracking number and a picture of the postage label. Donnie, did you get anything yet?

Not a squeak.

He was going to email me pics of the receipts but I never got them.

HOWEVER - he says he has no tracking numbers so I guess I can wipe my bum with the receipts anyway?

Okay...I just added this guy to my personal bad dealer list.

Funny...I started this list YEARS ago. It's only for those people I will not do business with on the RPF. I have 31 people on that list and I started that list 6 years ago...17 of them are still active members. :unsure

Do not let up on him, keep sending those emails. If he doesn't respond, I'll be sure to remind him that I don't live too far away.
Tracking confirms that the package was shipped to me.

Remember if you use PayPal you have the ability to pay insurance to ensure the item gets to you. If the seller has problems in the past I would recommend getting the insurance OR not purchase from him/her anymore. I got burned on eBay a few times but luckily eBay can provide you with some protection as can PayPal!

Ive emailed greg again.

WHats the time limit on opening disputes? Ive looked for dispute options and cant see them - im worried the time has passed.

I paid on March th 7th.

Im going to start giving sellers no chance to spin the bull**** from now on.

I need to keep an eye on the limit for making a claim.

I can still go to the credit card company up to 120 days I think...so not all is lost.

As someone who personally knows Greg Day I can't ignore a thread like this. I'll get in touch w/ him and get to the bottom of all this. He may be quite organizationally challenged but I don't think he would intentionally rip anyone off.

I just got a email from him.

It includes a pic of the shipping note.

Good News is Greg says the 3 items are insured.

The bad news is I cant read a single letter of whats written on the note. The pic was taken on a camera phone and only the printed large words saying USPS are legible. I cant even tell which country it was sent to its that bad a pic and Ive tried photoshopping the levels to eek out some detail and its impossible. It looks like the markings on the Turin shroud. :lol

Ive asked for a scanned pic so I can read who the shipping note belongs to.

Overall I feel better, Its got insurance and Im assuming he`s not conman but just has one of the dodgiest cameras I ever seen and has poor communication and doesnt ship out when he says he will.

I know Greg too. He's a pretty good stand up guy. I'm sure there's a valid reason behind the delay, and I'm sure you'll get your stuff or be compensated for it.

Actually when he replied I never got a sorry or anything like that never mind a valid reason.

I had really wanted to buy his brass gauntlets and I would have probably bought his body suit hes selling too...and I did tell him that...and they are still for sale as far as I know. So I`m well confused.

Wait....he's selling his brass gauntlets??? The ones he said he'd never sell in the "What prop would you never sell" thread?

Ok...I'm confused.

Yes hes selling up all of his "closet" as far as I can see.

He has sale threads on other bat related forums.

I think it took close to a year for the guntlets to be manufactured for him.

It will probably take the same ammount of time for Greg to ship them to any seller :lol

Suit and gauntlets are both already sold; he needed the cash for car repairs apparently. I don't think he's a scammer... I hope you guys get your stuff very soon.

Though I do not know gregday but as far as my correspondance with gregday, I would second westies14 opinion. I was looking around for a batman cowl and came across a sale thread posted by gregday sometime back. I contacted him to express my interest on the cowl, and he replied that it was already sold. A reply with no intent of scamming me.:)

Hope this is some comfort for you and that it works out for you.:thumbsup

I got my boots in today. Greg is uber-slow but thats all I guess.
