Well...Where do I start. I hope I can make the required 20 posts. I am Adam, from Lowell, Massachusetts...and the only exciting things that happened here was the birth of Jack Kerouac, the birth of Ed McMahon, and the birth of Michael Chiklis. And youll notice all of these people moved very far away to become famous.
The first Star Wars movie I saw was when I was 5 years old, my father and brother took me to see Return of the Jedi. And since that day, I have wanted my own Vader costume. I have bought props in the past, tried to get started on my way to that dream, but it usually fell apart. I finally had my chance when last year Rubies sold the Supreme edition Vader(which looked nothing like the pictures when it arrived.) At least, I knew that I could replace one component at a time. Then it dawned on me one day...maybe, just maybe I could find acceptance in my life if I could join the 501st. I am praying I can complete my vader costume this year, because I also decided, why stop with just one? Im also going to be working on a stormtrooper costume. I will hopefully find acceptance on this board as well...ive been reading for awhile and i really want to be apart of this place too..
I really need people in my life right now.

Welcome to the RPF MasterVader. I don't think you'll find getting to 20 posts difficult at all. I think I hit 20+ in my first week :lol Waiting the 90 days before they let me in the Junk Yard was a killer.

You've set yourself a lofty goal starting with Lord Vader, but it's certainly doable. There are some members here with truely outstanding Vader costumes and displays. A wealth of information and contacts resides on the RPF. You're in the right place.

I started out with a Vader from the Junkyard here, bought 2 GT suits (one white, one black), a Gonk, a Jedi, Fett, SDS, and 2 clones. Boy are you in the right place.

Thanks guys, and thank you for not flipping out that I posted my introduction to the wrong place, I already PMed a mod and apologized and asked if it could be moved. Im afraid im still new to the whole forum thing despite being online for so many years. You mean theres more stuff on the internet then porn and star wars? The vader mask Im working on now is I beleive a fan sculpt, its made out of urethane, and when you trim or sand it that stuff flies thru the air like baby powder lol. when all is said and done im going to need a real life vader suit lol.
