Me too. Given that they went with the "chunk" style ring for the GLs right off the bat, I'm scratching my head, too. 'Cuz the last thing I want to see is something like this lazy attempt at a yellow power ring. That would just tick me off. :thumbsdown

dc and warner have dropped the ball ,at least up until this time on producing Green lantern rings. The crap they have put out to date is just that crap. Lets hope they get it together for the movie.

The marketing potential for this movie is almost limitless. Because of the wide variety of characters that can be part of the Lanterns, we are going to see more merchandise than maybe even Batman. Rest assure, at some point there WILL be high-end replicas. Hopefully, they don't dissapoint.

I do hope DC outsources and allows another company to make some high-end stuff for Green Lantern (IIRC, DC Direct handles all prop stuff, and none of their replicas have been any good).

But I'm sure the guys who have started research on the ring will do an infinitely better job than any licensed companies. :thumbsup

one thing you could do to simulate the black in the resin is to first make black resin lay it out very flat, let it harden then break it up into small pieces then put those chips in the green resin. just my 2 cents worth

That's similar to what I was thinking of. And for the band part you could use chunks of a silver metal with the resin.

If it cant be worn daily then forget it.. I will never understand why people are willing to pay out of the nose for some piece of plastic crap over real precious metal.
