Hey Jack... Question:
Why the need to get 4 figures? I mean, 2 I understand. Maybe even 3 (1 to keep sealed, 1 to open, and 1 to open and customize). But 4? I'm not trying to be rude or anything, just curious why 4 of a the same figure thats limited to 2814, and expensive? Kinda keeps those of us who want just 1 figure in the dark.
Yep, that's it exactly. I missed out on the first round of orders in early January, which were all cancelled anyway. In the second half of the month, TRU put it up for pre-order again, and I ordered 2. But then people's orders started to be canceled from that round of orders, as well.If I recall correctly he placed an order for 2 the second round of orders. When they got resisted like many he was worried his first order wouldn't be filled and ordered 2 more to hedge the bet. I did the same but ordered one each time.
Supposed to ship in early June, but don't count on it. DC Direct has a really bad habit of letting the ship dates slip by at least a few months.when is the DC direct version going to be available?
Turns out the green LED lights are in the DISPLAY BASE, not the ring itself. Stupid Mattel.angry
We were interested to hear that the ring lit up, as we couldn't figure out how to do it for the movie rings without running wires to them. Turns out Mattel couldn't either. :lol
Slim to none. Have you SEEN the ring that came with the Toys "R" Us Exclusive Early Bird Figure? While it is nice, and better than I expected from Mattel, they got the texture on the band wrong, the "battle damage" (simulated nicks/gouges/chips/whatever) in the face "gem" does not match the movie prop, etc, etc. The ring with the interactive electronic figure seems to be basically an upgrade of that ring, with a different color scheme (big, light gray ring around the center gem, for instance) and a magnet installed to activate the figure. Otherwise, I expect the same inaccuracies will be present, plus the added inaccuracy mentioned above. So, what are the chances Mattel is using a prop ring for their mold?

Speaking only for myself, I've seen pics of the Movie Power Battery Prop as shown at Toy Fair and/or recent comic conventions, but pics of the DC Direct Movie Power Ring Prop have been conspicuously absent. Not really sure what's up with that.So I take it no one's seen the DC Direct version in person? The promo pics look great.
