I would like to finish my scope so that it looks as accurate to the finish on a real scope. Any suggestions other than gloss black paint?

I have gotten away from A-14 in favor of PC-9 Presto black, it gives a nice gunmetal grey with no exothermic reaction.

And yes it works on Aluminum I sent Scottjua a video just yesterday.

the original scopes are painted satin black.

The chemical treatments should be good for the flash hider parts. The rest should be just paint.

I had some 8-32 x 3/4" overnighted that I will be tossing in for guys that don't have the means to do a lot of metal work on the longer 1 " screws. I figured that would be good to have for you.

I have been doing a lot of paperwork regarding the shipping all day today, and sorting through the orders. I will do my best to get them out in a timely manner, thanks again.

1 question, what size/thread tap do I need to drill the scope bracket holes?

I would take a look at the Drill tap chart, to make sure you use the right size drill to have optimum thread engagement.

Here are some pics as promised. I applied the paint a little thick on the stepped chamfer on the internal edge. woops, easy fix.

I included a tube of Loctite GLASS adhesive for anyone that got a scope on the run.
