The motors are in the base of the thing so I can't imagine there is too much up top, especially since the consumer version lacks the two cameras, it will go one of two ways. Either there will be less hardware above the base in the cheap version due to less features, or more hardware above the base due to cheap construction.

I managed to snag a cheap my keepon from ebay and fully intend on giving it my Sunday best, I'll post pics of the teardown when it arrives.

Curious what the My Keepon version looked like inside. Did you ever get it taken apart?

I've brought one of those sound activate dancing coke cans to see if it can be done with one of those. Its an old one that the owner lost the glasses and headset on. Only downside is that the mechanism is pretty loud.

I contemplated grabbing one of the dancing cans as well, but the movement was a little wonky for my tastes. Still debating though. I won't have anytime to do mine until the end of the year anyway, so I'm more of a casual browser still. I'd love to see what's inside the dancing can when you get it!
