GotG Groot (Slight Spoiler Alert)

what about a manual puppet
I found a simple "mechanism" that can be used for this
its usually used for puppet fingers though

you could probably use it for arms
I drew a crude diagram groot blueprint-idea.png
hope this helps :D

Definitely want to make one of these. I will more than likely go with an armature inside a rubber form.

The only photo I could find of a bare unit is the pro version:
keepon-structure3.jpg

The motors are in the base of the thing so I can't imagine there is too much up top, especially since the consumer version lacks the two cameras, it will go one of two ways. Either there will be less hardware above the base in the cheap version due to less features, or more hardware above the base due to cheap construction.

I managed to snag a cheap my keepon from ebay and fully intend on giving it my Sunday best, I'll post pics of the teardown when it arrives.

Thanks!
I grabbed one from ebay last night too and plan on giving it a go. I'm excited to see what you come up with!

I've heard about a lot of that going around. The guy i was going to get my helmet from sadly was not just before he finished the mold.

My little guy is coming along. Still need to paint the detail work, but I set him up in a pot with some fake moss (not the final product) to see what he would look like. So far so good!

Marvel have released a high quality version of the video finally!

I'm going to give this a shot this weekend. Bought some Chavant clay a while back and haven't done anything with it yet - this might be a good project :)
