I received mine today from Sideshow.
So far so good, right? Box is nice. Numbered on the brown outer box. The inner black box is quite nice. Held with a magnet flap. No numbering on it. Back to that in a minute.
One black foam cover, and the contents underneath. No paperwork. So if you lose the brown box or it gets damaged there’s no number attached to the set.
The map is printed on thick card stock. Smooth. Creases are printed other than the vertical folds to connect the picture. Nothing really special. Would have liked something more for the price tag in terms of quality. Not that I would fold the other creases but it’s too thick to be believable.
The doubloon. It’s nice and heavy. Metal. Weathered. I like it! I don’t have any others to compare it to, and it may not be 100% accurate but I like it. Lighter for scale.
Copper Bones. What can I say? It’s not perfect, but it’s looks and feels really nice. It’s heavy and metal (heavy metal, dudes!) and I really enjoy the size and thickness. It’s not too thick and the edges & sculpts aren’t too deep until the dial. Those lines are nice and straight. And it’s bigger than the other one out there that’s licensed and “digitally sculpted using new resources “ but that’s for another thread. All in all I really like this one.
2 out of 3 ain’t bad. The metal goods are solid (haha). I do want a better map.
