hey,

a friend of mine and i have decided to drink beer, listen to metal music and make props every other sunday night.

We decided our first project together would be the belt gadget B-boy uses in the vault scene.

The box will be cast in hard resin. Our goal is to make it as accurate and functionnal as possible.

Here's where we are up to now, building, molding and casting the parts.

So that's it for now. On going weekly fun with a good buddy shall continue to get there...

thx guys. We used sintra card board 1/8 thick.

So here's part of the resin prototype. Still need some work on it to smooth it.

and we started working on the flap:

This is my favorite prop from the movie, dont ask me why, looks fantastic so far. Have held back collecting TDK props as theres too much cool stuff out there but would love one of these, any plans to make more than one?
