This is a thread made to share work, and nothing else as the rules state for users of my status. My other thread was deleted based on actions outside of my reach, so please omit sales related questions from this.

The sculpture took about 3 weeks to complete. Lots of hours of watching the Prologue as well as looking at the behind the scenes mask video. WED clay for the sculpt:

After pouring more sweat over wanting to try my best on this sculpt as I do with anything I make, I got the Mold Max 10 silicone brush on mold done. I hate doing brushups becasue I worry that much more over potential airbubbles:

Like I said, as my original thread, I wanted to share this becasue I'm a fan of Nolan and all work involved in not only his films, but Dark Knight as well. I worked as a Swat in Begins, so his films mean alot to me.

Now I can move on to more projects, I have alot planned and would love to continue answering questions and sharing things here.

Thanks
Tyler

That's a fantastic piece, and it really captures the feel of the original. You should be very proud of it!

Also, do you have a screencap of your character in Begins? It must have been awesome being on set with one of the best directors of this decade.

It looks great! You did a very good job on it. Any plans to do any of the other clown masks from the movie of his henchmen?

Thank you all for the kind words, I appreciate them alot.
I plan on doing at least one more mask, the "blue/green" hair mask, which I should be starting on this week.

Thanks again
Tyler

That mask, and the way it is worn, makes me think of Agent Smith. :love

oh, and of course.. GREAT work! :)

Okay, so basicly, you are made of pure genious to be able to make such a brilliant sculpture. Best I have seen by far!!! (y)thumbsup:thumbsup

I appreciate the kind words, they're too damn kind hahah!

What I did fail to mention yet was that I sculpted the mask on my headcast knowing that I wanted my castings to be decent in thickness. I never skimp on casting material, so finding that line with a mask that is supposed to be a certain size when worn took most of those days in the few weeks on the sculpt. That headache though paid off as they're just right to me. I am doing one other thug mask for sure, with some other organic things in between the "fearful symmetry".

so what happened with this? are you going to offer them? how can i get my hands on a few of these? seriously the best version of the mask i've seen.
