I just installed a GMProps Nemesis Electronics board in a Stapleton Nemesis Phaser Kit. Does anyone know if I can safely run 4 AAA batteries in series to safely power the electronics? I was thinking about using the aaa's because I wanted the added weight in the handle.

Why not use some stick on wheel weights. They come in 1/4oz, 1/2oz and 1oz sizes. You can get them from your local tire shop. Failing that, if there's a hobby shop in your area that does RC cars, particularly rock crawlers, they should stock them as well.

The advantage of these is that you can distribute the weight wherever and however you want.

Thanks, but ive already wired everything up. I'm just waiting to find out if it will be safe to install the batteries and turn it on before I actually do it.

I would send Jeff a PM to verify for sure as he knows exactly the amount it can take safely for best performance and longevity.

In his previous posts GM Props said that it can handle 6v. I sent him a PM yesterday. Still waiting on a response.

I got a couple pms from people asking about the aaa batteries. Im still waiting on a reply from GMProps. As soon as I hear something back, I will post it.

I dont see how 4 AAAs will fit. 3 AAAA's bearly fit for the Rodd.com ones. maybe in a dustbuster, but definitely not the Dolphin

Each AA or AAA battery will give you 1.5 volts. So, if the circuit runs on 6 volts, then you can use four AA or AAA batteries.

However, since I have not seen his phaser circuits up close, it is better to hear from the man himself before you take another step. I have his MKVII Tricorder Upgrade kit (before it got stolen at a show) and his design blew me away.

Every designer designs their circuit differently and in very ingenious ways to get the best performance from the batteries. :thumbsup

I found two 2032 button batteries work the best with my dustbuster electronics. I tried 2 AAA's but the sound was just too weak. I'm going to add my own weight to the handle with some metal rods I have laying around.

Hi, I am brand new here and I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to your question.
I really need some help getting familiar with the various electronic kits that GMProps makes for Star Trek resin models like the "Cricket Phaser".
Can someone please advise me as to how to personally get in touch with the company or the person who makes the electronic kits for the resin kits??:confused
Thank you
Captain Adams

Coming back to this one, was there a manual included with your electronics? This might help give you some clues. Or else, you might want to take high quality pictures of the circuit board from both sides which might help as well.
