But we all know that they never look as good in person, especially Halloween costume props.
The duke helmet looks rad

these ones look closer to what a production version would be, i gues ill just have to find one in haloween express or whatever to see in person. But man i love that mask.

I'm waiting to see the clear mask as well.
Like with most (if not all) licensed 'halloween' grade costumes, the pictures always look better than the actual item.
It's why forums like this exist. It's the only way fans can get movie-quality items.

picked it up today at party city and damn im impressed. The main tubing area is hard plastic and the rest is latex, and it is a full around the neck mask. Has a bit too much silver that needs to be removed or painted black, otherwise its great.

used some acetone to try removing the silver paint, but it took forever for one small spo0t. whats the best black paint to use on a latex mask, will krylon h20 spray work well?

if it is latex just use some black plastidip. If the silver areas are hard plastic I think I would use regular paint there.

I saw this today too. Not that bad really, they also had a cheapo '80s style Cobra Commander helmet, that for 15 bucks was kinda cool.

yeah, the chome facemask on the cobra mask is amazing, its perfect. of course the helmet part is crappt 2part velcro.

well thats the tricky part, the tube that comes out is plastic, the rest is latex. Will plasti-dip smooth out the details?

I don't think it's going to mess up any of your details. Just try light coats to begin with. A little can go a long way with this stuff.
