Ghostbusters GB1 Particle Thrower/Proton Gun

Hey everybody! Here's my latest build, a GB1 Particle Thrower/Proton Gun. This particular replica has been built to replicate the thrower used on-screen by Bill Murray in the original Ghostbusters (as part of the "Minnesota" hero proton pack) I've completed the build recently after accumulating the most accurate parts possible for the last couple of years. My thrower is as close as the screen-used thrower as I could make it; it's all made from aluminum, all the (identified) parts are the same vintage parts that were used on the real gun (including the Legris banjos, the OEM heat sink, the hat lights and the tubing) and the electronics reproduce the light sequence seen in the movie. Also, the grips were cast from screen-used grips and all the hardware holding everything together (including the rivets and socket cap screws) are the correct type and size. The front handle rotates, and the green lever activates the popping of the clear barrel. I'm forgetting a lot of stuff, but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Here they are, in no particular order.

That is a piece to truly be proud of. To say I may be a tiny bit jealous would be an understatement. I've got a 3 year old daughter I could part with if you ever considered a swap.

Excellent work. That is one of the most accurate wand's I've seen. I've always wanted to tackle a proton pack and positron glider but still need to finish a couple of projects.

Thank you! I still need to tackle the pack itself, but I'm still missing a few crucial parts. As a matter of fact I built the thrower to pass the time while I'm waiting for said parts, since I had everything in-hand. :p Glad to know that all the work and research paid off. :)

Thanks for the nice words everyone! :)

And it works?
;-)

Looks great!!!!
Good work!
Of course not! It's not plugged into a particle accelerator yet. Duh! :p

Beautiful work! Looking forward to see your next pack build.
I'll get started on that as soon as I get the missing parts. Anyone knows how to wake up a lazy seller? ;)

Really strong work. Finally (for me!) an explanation of the green lever.
The green lever worked pretty much exactly like this on screen. You can see it very well in the first movie when Ray emerges from the elevator in the Sedgewick. He pulls on the lever and voilà! The barrel extends. :D
