Nice! That should be a blast. I'm just now starting to collect the parts for a GB suit.

it got advertising in theaters,so only people who notices it listed in listings while looking for a different movie they had in mind, or people who show up to movies 15 minutes early will know. it is playing in the nyc/tri-state area in like 15 theaters at about 7:00 each place.

not quite old enough to see it in theaters when it did it's first run, and i know it will be amazing to see on a bigger screen, much like star wars is meant to be seen. hopefully theaters wont be too packed.....

We had a ball tonight! We were at the Franklin Park Rave Cinemas here in Toledo. That was just great, the Ghostbusters costumes just resonates with people soooo much! My son and I went to the movie tonight, Mike could not make it as he was invited out to see Spamalot in town this evening with a friend. Next week we will have a three person team there.

The film was great to see on the big screen again. A bit grainy, but the sound was super and the storyline timeless.

We showed up an hour early just to see how people would react. The theater manager was really happy to see us in costume and treated us to free food. As we sat eating, people started coming in in the last half an hour. We popped down the food and we did pretty much non stop pictures right up to the start of the film. As we walked into the theater, the audience broke out in applause. After wards, we could not get down to the large lobby area, people wanted pictures taken out side in the hallway and we did poses as well pictures with others holding some of the equipment. We did between 150 to 200 hundred shots with different people and many more posed shots.

The manager came to us and we did a few more shots which they want to use to advertise for the next two weeks. WE ended up signing the disclosure sheets for use of advertising and we were asked to come back and we get in free as well free food again. We are not getting paid, justy looking forward to an incredible time with everyone wanting to get pictures and asking questions about the props.

Cannot tell you how many poses we did with the PKE meter out poking someone. I REALLY WISH we had the GB traps, OMG we could have had a ball with those and the crowd tonight. I hope we get them in time for the last showing.

Feh.. the only time it's showing in my area is at 7 PM on the 13th, 20th and 27th. I work later than that so I'm going to have to see if I can get some time off to go see it one of the other weeks.

I highly recommend it! I was very happy with it. No added scenes, no redone special effects, everything exactly as it should be. Yup, I was in nerd heaven the whole time. :D

Since I'm in Vegas visiting mom I got to see this yesterday at 7PM-a lot of fun to see the crew on the big screen since I was all of nine when it came out!

As a film it shows it's age but is still a hell of a trip to sit through and laugh along with.

One thing with old movies that makes one feel weird, especially those in NYC-seeing the WTC still standing.....man,how the world has changed in those short twenty seven years :confused

This is great news and the first Ive heard of it being shown...going to check the listings right now! Tripoli you guys look terrific and could easily pass for Akroyd's extended family :)

I saw it last Thurs, loved it! I notice a few details I really hadn't noticed before, like the way one of the Terror Dogs while they are talking to Zu'ul is relaxing like "whats up?" and the look from Louis Tulley in the basement when they are switching off the containment grid.

I personally loved it. It was completely untouched. No need to add anything, and the jokes were just as great.

BTW, great pics Tripoli!

Here's me at Whitemarsh, Maryland. Was great to see the movie on the big screen - lot's of details I hadn't spotted before.

Went to go see it on the big screen on Thursday the 27th, as I do not have a GB costume yet just went wearing a GB Tshirt, Proton Pack Back pack, and Ghostbusters Baseball cap. Was still really great to see it and make out a few small details I missed. The Effects held up really well to today's movies. Seemed like a very nice print as well, a little scratchy during the library but seemed to go away after the credits. It was great to finally see it on the big screen too, never thought I would get the chance!!!

Very cool! Right next to Ikea. I'm there often with my wife.

Yeah, that picture was at the Tilted Kilt, just over the road from the theatre. I was the only one in full costume, although I did see a jumpsuit, and someone else just bought their pack along.

JUST got back from seeing this at Showcase in the UK.

Was a truly amazing experience. That film has given me some of the happiest moments and memories of my life and to see it again on the big screen was unreal.

The print was excellent. Grainy where you would expect, but radiant at most other times.

I too noticed small details I had not seen before.

FOR ANY UK GUYS READING THIS, IT IS ON UNTIL THE 3RD AT SHOWCASE!!!!!

And yes...I will be going again... :)

Weequay
