Y'know, we managed to get the RDJ-isn't-Iron-Man title changed. Can we at least get this thread title changed since it is painfully obvious that Ghostbusters 3 is NOT a go by any stretch of the imagination?

"And now, we’re going to really put it into ninth gear, in this third one. It’s going to be very, very exciting. I’ve been more encouraged than I ever have been. It sounds real now. We’ve got a sharp new writer on it, Ivan [Reitman] is on it, Harold [Ramis] is on it, I’m on it. And if I can put the catch-net on Billy [Murray] and bring him in, it will be wonderful, if he decides to do it. There will always be a hole for him." - Dan Aykroyd.

Sounds like it's still a go (according to the writers, director and producer). So, unless there's a confirmation from any of them that it is dead again, the title remains the same (and if you feel that I'm wrong about wanting a confirmation, then you're more than welcome to take it up with one of the mods, and they can change the title).

"It's based on new research that's being done in particle physics by the young men and women at Columbia University. Basically, there's research being done that I can say that the world or the dimension that we live in, our four planes of existence, length, height, width and time, become threatened by some of the research that's being done. Ghostbusters -- new Ghostbusters -- have to come and solve the problem."

That sounds terrible. I'd rather see a complete reboot. I don't want to see the Ghostbusters visit the LHC. Sounds like Big Bang Theory the movie.

I've said it before I'll say it again. The future of this franchise is the games.

I thought I wanted the PT. I was wrong.
I thought I wanted Indy 4. I was wrong.

Let GB be. It was great, it still is great. We don't need more.

Exactly. I love Dan and everyone that made the first two films (except for the lousy design of Slimer in the 2nd one) but I really have lot any interest in this.

Bingo. More is not always better, people.

I never could bring myself to watch Blues Brother 2K. I don't think I care to watch Ghostbusters: The Geriatric Episode. I can see it now, Dan Ackroyd says, "Oh no, I'm scared! I think I just pooped in my Depends™."

But Hollywood will probably give it to us. I mean, today The Hangover III opens and soon we get Grown Ups 2. Cinema at it's finest! :sick
