Ghost in the Shell Togusa's Revolver?

Does anyone know if there's been a kit made of Togusa's Mateba model 207 revolver? I just finished GiTS 2nd Gig and have fallen in love with this weapon. Supposedly it was manufactured sometime in the 1990's.. Could it be a real firearm? I know Mateba exists, but can't find a model 207.

Any help would be awesome.

Togusa's firearm is actually refered to by name in episode 10 of 2nd Gig as a "Mateba Firearms Auto Revolver", during his court case. So, maybe it's not a real firearm, but it definately is meant to be a Mateba.

But that link is perfect, thats actually EXACTLY what I'm looking for. I translated the page with google translate, and it looks like you can order it, but only in japan. Maybe I'll make a call to a friend over there. It appears to be going for about 12,600 yen. Or 106 dollars.

In the mean time, does anyone know of a place inside the US to get this kit or one like it?

Been trying to get one for a while....no joy anywhere.

Anyone interested in a SAC C26A rifle, perchance?

Looks like its based on a P90 to me.

The C26-A is inspired by the P90, but there is virtually nothing that is actually the same. I know, 'cos I tried using one as a base :)

well since we're showing off... :D

Cool stuff. I was hoping someone would do some GITS props. Has anyone seen Solid State Society, or has it come out yet? Is it a series or a movie?

Also, here's another link that might prove useful:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mateba_Autorevolver

It details the real Mateba Autorevolver, which was discontinued last year.

I will be starting a new thread on Monday with completed pics of the C26a on monday. I'm also hopefully going to be working on some Gynoid heads from Innocence.

Yup, seen Solid State Society. It picks up two years after the events of Gig 2, and contains elements of the Innocence plotlines, as well as a long sequence straight out of the first Manga. It's movie length, and basically plays like a long 'complex' episode. I thought it was excellent, well up to the standard of the series.

BTW, Togusa uses an M-5 in Solid State Society.
