I just got back from the Q&A Forum over at the Directors Guild on Sunset. It was AMAZING..... He was very personable. He spoke about the Star Wars TV show and Indiana Jones 4. I also got two of my sabers signed...

Yeah it was pretty cool. I have met a ton of celebs but I was sooo nevious and anxious about GL. Anyway, he said that the animated series will begin shooting very soon and that it will be during the clone wars and not follow the Skywalker family, but rather jump around. He said the animation will be a 3-D style, unlike the Clone Wars cartoon snipits that came out before the movie. Also that this cartoon will not really be for kids but rather for the older fans and have a tone of action and adventure in each storyline. All he said about the live action was that it was years away...

As for Indy. He said that he finally was happy to finalize the script and when he was asked who was coming back from the original movies all he said was that Harrison was back. He was very vague about it.

All in all it was a very cool 2 hours spent with a legend. The most sureal moment was when they showed a 5 minute montage of all the Star Wars films and watching it with George Lucas right there...a once in a lifetime thing.

I don't know if George has ever signed a lightsaber before. When I handed these to him he said..."This is going to be difficult to sign, now how can I do this...?"

Do or do not, there is no how. LOL

Thanks for the report, sounds about as good as it gets for a SW fan.

Welp, there goes the re-sale value of THOSE light sabers.. They can be signed off as junk now. I'l send you my mailing address so i can throw them away for you.

man, that is so cool. I really, really do envy youfor that once in a lifetime opportunity. :thumbsup :D

I would love to be there.

Lucas had a very weird looking signature though :p But I'm guessing that is because of the shape of the sabers...

that is really cool..some say that sigs screw up the piece but not from GL.. did he comment on them or just take them sign them and hand them back?

A lot of my old concert tickets have faded over the years. You can take a good photo of the ticket or scan it and use it for the display.

Otherwise, the original one will possibly fade.

Jedifyfe,

Thanks for the report. I had a quick favor: I make my living writing for televisiion. My agent has submitted my work for consideration for the Star Wars live action TV show. When George said it was "years away" that makes sense. I'm sure he's going to finish Indy 4 before he turns his attention to the Star Wars TV show. I just wanted to ask you if he mentioned any other specifics about the TV show? Is there anything else you can remember? Thanks in advance.

Alan
