Another project that I'm working on.

Will be building the armour from scratch using a klean klay sculpt, then making an rtv mould. The finished armour will be made from fibreglass.

Here is the beginning of my chest armour sculpt. The gold monkeys were sculpted separately and then applied, some more detail to be added.
Couldn't resist coated them gold to see what they look like.

I'll be using a TK undersuit as the base, Thades undersuit is a combo of leather effect chainmail and hair. Have some ideas on how to approach it, might just latex some barley twist rope to the undersuit to achieve the pattern (needs to be stretchy).

The head will be a combo of a baldcap, latex ears, foam latex prosthetic and hair lace pieces.

More to follow.

Any suggestions, comments, musings etc, always welcome.

Looking lovely. Please post the whole process. I would love to see it from beginning to end.

Looks great so far.
Whats Klean Klay like to work with? I know someone over here in London has just started distributing it.

I'd be interested in knowing the quality of the Chimp prosthetic if you get it.
I'm trying to get hold of a good Vampire brow/cheekbone one at the mo.

Keep up the good work.

Klean klay is great to work with, I got the firmest one available and it really holds its shape well and can be softened up easily with your hands. Got it from the UK, more than likely the same people you refer to.

I got some vampire prosthetics from Morphstore, excellent quality, very reasonable too!! Andy is a great guy to deal with.

This will be a very slow process, concentrating on Bib Fortuna for the moment.

Some progress with the face, this is by far the best prosthetic piece for this project that I have come across and believe me, I have looked.

It started out looking like this.

This is after the first initial application of rubber mask grease, still some tweaking and blending needed.

Also got a pair of unpainted hands from the same supplier, with no hair.

The plan is to coat the spandex glove with layers of latex and then colour the whole glove and fingers.
This will give me something to punch yak hair into.

Working on a few ideas for the wig or cowl. Hand laced wigs are very expensive so might have to come up with a cheaper alternative but it is crucial that the face and mask look as good as they can do. It'll make or break the whole costume.

The hands after painting and hair punching.

Going for a pull over prosthetic mask, glued the face and ears to a balaclava.

Made some hair wefts with yak hair and latex.

Began laying the wefts from the back of the neck to just short of the brow.
The beard is completely punched.

Nearly done, punched around the hairline with yak hair. Will need to soften with some mohair.

That is awesome!
I've wanted to see one of these and even thought about tackling the project myself, but just don't have the space for it.
Keep up the great work.

Thade walks like his nappy is full and he's trying not to spill any :lol

His mannerisms are definitely an important part of the whole look.
