general modeling question, making a tea pot with legs

I was hoping to get a few suggestions on how to tackle this project.

I'm making a tea pot for a design class. I want to give it 4 robotic legs. Kind of the same ball park as ED209 legs but just curved wit no "toes".

My current idea is to sculpt one leg in super sculpey and then cast it. And then work on support structure for legs and bowl. Is super sculpey
the way to go or should I go for dense foam? I don't have much experience sculpting either but I'm willing to give this project countless hours
until Monday :) I was also thinking of casting the side of the bowl and then sculpting a leg on top of this so it's easier to work from. The bowl
is cheap and fragile. What do you suggest?

Thanks for any help. Chris :confused

ED209 legs are pretty complex.
mainly boxy so you would probably be best off creating the main structure with sheet plastic or wood then adding the details to it with assorted found objects and custom made shapes.
If you want it more organic then clay or epoxy putty could be used or even foam that would be coated.
