Trouble is with bringing back old actors for the 50th is.... and Colin Baker said this recently at our Convention, theyre all fatter and older and look nothing like their younger characters.

I don't care about that. They are, each and every one of them, "My Doctor!" I will happially take them back for the special. Don't care what the curcumstances are or how it is written, to have them back as their Doctor again would be just superb!

Agreed. It would be nice just to see them on screen again. Write some convenient reason for them to be fat and you're set. :lol

I'd love it to be a 'keys to time' type of season where each doctor has to complete a task to as part of the method of thwarting an evil plan. Each completed task is part of the ultimate plan fullfilled in the last ep of the season......

Every doctor gets to take a starring role - provided they want in on it.


The ultimate result could be meaningless, or could result in good/bad (yeah, save the universe, but either the master or timelords return).

Get mcgann and have him in a 2 parter fighting the time war or something to solidify his standing.

I don't see what was wrong with the old one. I thought it fit him well.

I haven't been following it closely but I did hear something about a costume change. Could be wrong though.

Love it but then I'm a fool for a well cut frock coat anyday of the week.

I think the frock coat suits Matt Smith really well... I'm just not sure it suits The Doctor.

Kinda like when women break up they get a new hairdo. When the Doctor splits with a companion he gets a new jacket.

I liked the old outfit but this one will grow on me I'm sure.

It is a whole new costume. The jacket is made from an aubergine coloured moleskin material.

If some of the spoilers i've read for upcoming episodes are true then the Doctor will be a slightly different character when it comes back in Christmas. Same tone to the stories but a sliughtly more sombre character for the Doctor.

Interesting to note that the new costume seems to be going for a more old-fashioned look which we really havn't seen since McGann.

I also like how the new costume looks. I can't wait to see how this new companion interacts with the Doctor... Though I hope that it isn't another "I'm in love with The Doctor!" Story line... :lol

So do I as long as it doesn't peter out after one or two weeks. Should be protracted. Needs a good deal more grief than the 30 seconds of sadness adrick got.
