Glad to hear it worked out. This is something I'm always wary of when sending money over the internet
My wife and I had dinner with another couple the other day, and the husband was a police officer. So I just broke down the issue of theft that has spiked on this board. I explained to him the issue with scamming, and I flat out asked if they called the police would it help. He said absolutely. He said if you call the thief's local police, they should look into it. He said most times, just having an officer
Show up at their house will scare the crap out of them and they will suddenly "work things out" because they think the law is watching them.
So I suggest teaching these guys a lesson and taking action.
They all hope you just bellyache publicly, yet tuck your tail and just walk away.
Yeah... I got this too when I dealt with him earlier. Ordered a Solo blaster rig from the guy, he was very nice and forthcoming, we exchanged a lot of e-mails ( - until funds were transferred. The arrival of a huge PayPal payment apparently shocked him into silence... my spidey sense began to tingle really bad, so I let him know that I'd open a PP dispute unless I got some hard evidence of the rig being produced and shipped... got the fiance thing back, said I was sorry for his situation, but it's my money. Slammed him with a PP claim, provided PP with our correspondence - PayPal saw the case for what it was - reimbursed me fully, no questions asked.GBRittelleJR this morning. Apparently his fiance had left him and he had to pick up a second job just to cover sudden expenses. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but he supplied me with a tracking number and informed me my blaster would be here by Friday. I will message a mod and leave his fate into their hands at this point.
This was 8 or 9 years ago, that link is LONG gone! :lol
