GBrittelleJR is a thief.

Well, I’m only just now seeing this Thread and reading it with a sick –and angry- knot in my stomach…
:angry

Greg’s been the recipient of $215.00 from me (through PayPal) since August 9th and this whole time I’ve been patiently waiting for the Han Solo ANH Belt that agreed he was going to make me at that time…

Along the way over the last few months there have been periods of time where he did not respond to any of my questions of “how are things coming along?” and “haven’t heard from you yet” … and once he would respond with references to how crazy life was getting, I’ve been doing the Nice Guy thing of saying “Wow…glad to hear that you're okay (I was getting a little bit worried about ya)”

Meanwhile my deadline to be in full ANH Han Solo Gear in time to meet Billy Dee Williams (a deadline that seemed like a long way off back in JULY when we FIRST began discussing me purchasing a belt from him) looms in mid-OCTOBER when our local Convention happens and I’m STILL getting a wall of silence from Greg (my most recent e-mail to him was just a few days ago… last heard anything from him right around the time I sent him the money)

Gregory if you’re reading this:
-I paid you $215.00 U.S. for 1 Han Solo ANH Rig that you agreed to make me.
-You’ve also been paid for the rig to have the “better disc” piece you said you would get for it…
-You already have my measurements.

I’ve got a nice long list of our messages back and forth here at the RPF but our most recent (mostly one-sided) messages have been through e-mail…
I’m writing THIS message while I’m here at work on my Lunch Break… But WILL there be a message from you in my Home e-mail account once I get home later today? Is THIS the kind of thing somebody has to do to get an ANSWER from you?

I’d like very much to think that there’s going to be a message and an apology along with some INFORMATION:

Am I going to be getting this belt, at all?
OR
Are you reimbursing me the money so that I can try some other route?

Fox (“Mitch”)

Mitch, I feel for you. I really do. I was really down for the past 4-5 weeks, thinking I was robbed. Do as I did, I took NeoAgent's advice and filled out a complaint through the IC3. Perhaps if he knows another claim was filed under his name, he will get the ball rolling with your project. We are all honest people here, we would never do anything like this to anyone. That is the worst part about being scammed.

Yeah, it’s pretty clear something needs to happen.

Last night I wrote Greg a follow-up to my e-mail from 10 days ago asking about the belt (the earlier e-mail was, itself, an e-mail that started with the words “well, it’s been 5 weeks since…” with, of course, no response from him)

The e-mail from last night makes mention of the fact that if I don't get an e-mail from him before the end of this week confirming that the belt is on its way (AND with a Tracking Number) I'm going to file a complaint with both PayPal and the Internet Crime Complaint Center against him...
I've kept copies of all of our exchanges here at the RPF as well as our e-mails (because YES, before getting paid there were all kinds of statements from him about what he was going to do) so it should be pretty easy to lay everything out for them.

Now, if I do get an e-mail that says exactly that –or an e-mail apologizing followed by a REFUND of my Paypal amount- I’ll drop the whole thing and just start over (and try to find something similar out there and HOPE that I can get in time for the event I’ve been planning for these last few months) …

But MAN... why couldn't he just send me the BELT?

I’m really sorry when it has to come to this…
I hate having to deal with this sort of thing and whatever Greg Brittelle Jr’s / Gregory Edward’s personal drama IS, I’ve got no time for it…
I played fair and assumed the best OF him, but C’MON…

Anyway, all I really want is the dang belt (and SOON with a Tracking Number)
OR the Refund…
He’ll get to choose next how this plays out… but WOW is my “Nice Guy” fed up and angry.

Thankfully I have been able to buy from some very trustworthy people through the RPF, but I still am learning alot from you guys on what to do and what not to when it comes to dealling with people that haven't built up that foundation of trust yet.

My wife and I had dinner with another couple the other day, and the husband was a police officer. So I just broke down the issue of theft that has spiked on this board. I explained to him the issue with scamming, and I flat out asked if they called the police would it help. He said absolutely. He said if you call the thief's local police, they should look into it. He said most times, just having an officer
Show up at their house will scare the crap out of them and they will suddenly "work things out" because they think the law is watching them.
So I suggest teaching these guys a lesson and taking action.
They all hope you just bellyache publicly, yet tuck your tail and just walk away.

Fair play, there is obviously a finer line between theft and a civil dispute over a verbal/written contract, than I had given the US system credit for!

RexKramer you must have called Saul for your legal action in New Mexico. Glad it's working out for you and a blaster is in that box.

You guys must have missed my post on this guy a few years ago.. I sent him a WWII cap shield and 2 blanks and he claimed he would send me the cash as it came to him cause he was a poor and suffering hard working man... lol it never did and he stopped returning emails and such but no one at the time dug into him... Crook, liar and fraud... Take your pick..

GBRittelleJR this morning. Apparently his fiance had left him and he had to pick up a second job just to cover sudden expenses. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but he supplied me with a tracking number and informed me my blaster would be here by Friday. I will message a mod and leave his fate into their hands at this point.
Yeah... I got this too when I dealt with him earlier. Ordered a Solo blaster rig from the guy, he was very nice and forthcoming, we exchanged a lot of e-mails ( - until funds were transferred. The arrival of a huge PayPal payment apparently shocked him into silence... my spidey sense began to tingle really bad, so I let him know that I'd open a PP dispute unless I got some hard evidence of the rig being produced and shipped... got the fiance thing back, said I was sorry for his situation, but it's my money. Slammed him with a PP claim, provided PP with our correspondence - PayPal saw the case for what it was - reimbursed me fully, no questions asked.

Here's the guy - his Facebook profile pic really shows us his attitude towards our community. Stay away.

Yeah, after reading through this thread I'm curious to know if you ever received that blaster.

^ that needs to happen WAYYYYYY more with these tools. People need to just show up at their place and just watch them shat their pants when you are face to face with them.
And as for this guy being "nice, friendly and pilot"??? Of course he would be! He was scared, embarrassed and he knew he was being filmed. If he was a dick on camera, it would have made things even worse for him.

He is a thief, and world class bottom feeder as far as I'm concerned. Absolutely detestable business practices. I put up a WTB discussion for a Evil Dead Chainsaw replica. He reaches out to me to take on the commission and takes off with the $100. The $100 was a gift from my elderly parents who really cant afford to toss away $100. Like an idiot I paid him via Paypal "Friends and Family" payment... Avoid at all cost. If anyone has a phone number for him, I'd love to have that information. I'm giving him til tomorrow and I'm contacting his local police dept. I may let some $#!% slide...but not this
