Game Fallout Iconic 10 mm Pistol

The long-awaited TV show 'Fallout' was released, I and my daughter #2 had been watching it and shed tears of joy. That was so authentic to the world concept of the game.
Especially, she loved this game and has been playing this game for more than 15 years. We used to play together and made many memories.

A very iconic prop appeared in this game, a 10 mm pistol. Many fans loved the powerful and brutal design.
Well, why not make one? Maybe I could give it to her if I could make it good.

Recently, I bought an XY cross table. It is a product of China and it is a very reasonable price of ￥3500. And good enough for the hobby use.

I had to fix one thing to set it up on a drill table to use as a milling table. There's a screw bolt here. Pull it out and replace it with a bit longer one. So that you can hold the endmill if you tighten this screw.

This is it. OK, play ball.

Well, making a receiver.

There are several images and some unreliable blueprints available on the net but every one of them is slightly different. Unlike making a starship model, I thought it was important to have a nice texture when you touch it and a certain amount of weight. Also, it may need some action like sliding bolt and trigger, hammer.

Whatever...

Cut up a 10 mm thick acrylic plate to some blocks and glue.

Sanding a bit.

Sight and sight mount.

It's getting hot these days.

An awesome start already.
They call it, thinking outside the box....or maybe perhaps could be called, thinking like Katsu.....lol.
And yes, getting very hot. Trimmed all my bushes and mowed the lawn. That took like 4 hours.

Very cool! This one is on my list to build eventually. My nephew would love this. Also neat to see some scratchbuilding and not 3D printing. No hate towards it at all, just cool to see an actual build!

Using the 3D printer is another aspect to enjoy building. Finding or drawing the blueprint to put it in a control computer, watching the machine do modeling as you were expecting. It must be fun. So far, I'm enjoying drawing blueprints and solving the puzzle of how to build it. Using the tools or materials whatever is available. That's my way to have fun.

This part needed a smooth natural round curve, so I thought it might be better than a powered belt sander.

Yeah. Even though my brother owns it, I live there with roommates. It's a 1996 house, that's about as American as it probably gets. So I do what I can to keep it up and nice. Planted the tree in the middle last year, and just made the brick border a few weeks ago.

I saw the pic of your house last night, I decided to weed in the backyard. If Michael-san can do I do. After two hours of solitary fighting, it looks better. My wife will be happy to see this. I love to see her face smiling.

Next time it is her turn.

Looking good. Friday I filmed a wedding at this place that was multi-million, where this lady owns it and books out weddings.
It was very nice, but WAY over priced for me.

And here was the barn, but inside was where the reception was held.

By the time we were leaving, had this nice sunset.

Its quite nice alright, but I'd hate to even know the cost just to have a wedding there.

The upper part around the barrel is almost done.

Looks like it may need to refine a bit on the edges but so far, I like it.
