Today was a double dose of goodness for me... Not only did I recieve my ESB Graflex from Roman, but the ROTJ V2 kit I ordered from another member.

The Graflex is a thing of beauty. Outdoes any other I have previously owned by a long shot.

So I didn’t read all 106 pages so may have missed this but do the existing blade holders out there now fit this version Graflex (such as the Solos Hold)? I know there was a scramble to get a BH that would fit the V1 properly because of the variances but have those been put the vintage standards now?

Solos hold blade holder fits PERFECTLY in the gen2 graflex!!

Hey Gang! I'm in the hunt for a Red Button for my Obi-Wan Grafluki Lightsaber and even with all these new Roman's Graflex Gen.2 photos showing up, I'm only getting more confused.

@Trooper_trent 's Gen.2 Red Button looks like it has the correct bevel on the crown, but then looks too tall compared to the VINTAGE GRAFLEX RED BUTTON. Is that a VINTAGE or replica Red Button on the bottom of your ESB VINTAGE?

@russellsch 's Gen.2 top button looks like Trooper_trent's Gen.2 top button does, but then the lower looks like it has the crown bevel of a Roman's Gen.1.

I know from the pictures that the number of knurl ridges/teeth is still off, and I'm cool with that and the button heights possibly being different, but I just want that crown bevel to be the same angle as a VINTAGE. To make it even more confusing the picture of the Roman's Red Button on his website still looks like the old photo of the Gen.1. so I don't know if it's a Gen.1 or a Gen.2 that's being sold separately as it doesn't mention it in the description.

I'd love to see the Roman's Gen.2 Red Button compared in a side shot to a TGS's new updated Red Button and a VINTAGE RED BUTTON if possible.

Am I overthinking this...ABSOLUTELY! All I've had is time to do so while waiting on other parts. I really want to order a Red Button soon as I finally got the Bunny Ears coming from TCSS last night and the button is now the last piece I need to complete the outside of my first lightsaber build! If I had beaucoup d'argent I'd buy them both and use the one I like better, but I don't, and I haven't seen what I need to yet I guess to pull the trigger on one or the other.

I've been working ever so dilligently on my Good Jeditarian Efforts this week taking all sorts of GRAFLEX measurements for fellow RPF'ers, SO, if you can share some photos with me, please be a Good Jeditarian as well and do so!

does anyone know if Roman‘s Bottom would fit a vintage clamp/upper body nicely? Would make a perfect saber without drilling into the vintage bottom. Sorry if this has been asked before.

Hey TheRealLinzer ! Yes, the Roman's will match up nicely with the VINTAGE Uppers. You might need to buff or scruff it a bit to match the patina of your particular GRAFLEX, but it'll fit just fine! And it's a great idea too for those wanting to preserve their VINTAGE GRAFLEX Bottom halves.
