Future Foundation Spider-Man - First Build

Hey everyone. I just joined the RPF and am starting a Future Foundation Spider-Man build using Sonjou's excellent file (http://www.4neodesigns.com/downloads/future-foundation-spider-man/), which I got from him a few days ago. But I had a question about sizing the file. I am 5'10" and a very muscular 180 lbs. I happen to compete in bodybuilding competitions so I usually fill out spandex costumes very well. But since I've never worked with files like this before and Fabric on Demand, should I size up a bit or will the default eye-to-waist height of 31 work for me?

It looks like the file is given to me already at a height of 31, so should I leave it as is or size up a bit? I want to make sure I get this right the first time, haha.

Once I get the fabric back from FOD I plan on contacting Trophy Wife to sew it because I stink at that and getting TJack's faceshell and lenses.

Thanks everyone.

Well, it's been a while since I started this thread but there is some progress. I emailed 4neodesigns with my question about sizing and he recommended I size the file as if I am 6'2" and thank goodness I did. It took me a while to wriggle into the suit but it fits like a glove.

So I got the print from Fabric on Demand and sent it off to TrophyWife for sewing and I have it back now. Waiting for the faceshell and eyes from RPC Studio and am currently looking into shoes, looks like a lot of people are using Kung Fu Shoes so I might go that route.

Looking good man.Cant wait to see this as it progresses. Ive also seen a lot of people using aqua socks, you can usually find them at the big chain store that starts with W for a decent price.

Yes, that is an option. My roommate owns some minimalist shoes made by Sockwa, and he mentioned that they may sell me just the sole instead of the entire shoe. Their soles are really durable and may not wear out as fast as aqua shoes, which is something I was concerned about since the sole is getting glued on.

Well the eyes and shell came in from the RPC Studio. Nice and breathable. Pretty good vision too. Here's a pic. I'll be wearing this on Friday and Saturday at Katsucon.

Still need to glue the soles on.

Very nice.
Maybe you can try tinting the domes black!

You bring up a good point. If you look real close into my lens you can see the hole I had to cut out for my eyes. I think I have something lying around the house that may make the lens a bit darker...
