Future floor finish and Krylon chrome

This is for the painting experts out there... Something I am not!

I have heard, the best thing to coat Krylon Original Chrome paint is with Future Floor Finish. True? I can safely put it over the chrome paint without any bad effects? This is for a Rocketeer rocketpack BTW.

My chrome paint job is certainly not perfect, but acceptable. There is a bit of orange peel to the finish. Is there anything I can do to smooth that out before applying the Future?

What is the best way to apply the Future? I do have an airbrush, can I shoot it through that?

Thanks in advance.

I've never worked witht Krylon chrome but I've dealt with a lot of orange peel. What I did was sand it with some fine sand paper (600 or 800 grit I think), and paint it again. If I think its going to ripple, I usually hit it with lighter coats. Instead of two or three regular coats, five light ones, wet sanding in between coats.

But thats just me and I'm no professional.

Future is an acrylic finish, so I don't think it would be a problem so long as the Krylon is completely dry.

You could probably airbrush it, but I have never tried. I just poured it over the surface and collected the runoff for reuse.
