good Idea,

I´m planning to finish 4 four with octanorm system and plexy:

the box underneath is for Yoda only the rest is for malesize figures.

Can use 80/20 aluminum extrusion too to make large display cabinets and enclosures. Can be pricey buying new lengths but can snag deals on cut-off pieces on eBay.

A good display mannequin case has to be half rounded like in the first link.
An acrylic shower case mostly are to big for a mannequin in my eyes. Also the most are to short to display a Vader:( But i would like to know what to pay for such a half rounded case with lights in the base.

I'm trying to rack my brain for life-size display ideas too.

I want to try to keep out dust and teenagers, while still showing off the piece. :lol

The problem is, whenever you put glass or plexi in front of a lifesize figure it loses some of it's "life"

Not saying I'm not going to do it, but it's a "Catch 22" kinda thing

Try doing a search for the channel pieces that serve as the frame. They are usually aluminum, can be cut with a miter-saw, and have a glass shop cut the panels for it. Much like the Yoda display above.

This ain't gonna be cheap.

I was looking at those showers for cryo chambers at my haunted house.
Looking at those shower pics, it would be cool to slot the flooring to make a lighted star wars base for a figure.

But you get this cool museum look like all the SW pieces have on these exibitions.....looks very professional.

Much like the Yoda display above.

Thanks guys. I was inspired by the Star Wars L´expo and the Star Wars in concert exhibitions. I´ve been there in person and loved it a lot. I decided to choose this style for my displays as well, to have a basic shape of them all, to look the same - although the sizes of the figures differ a lot from each other.

As soon as I get more time, I'll be making a LIS sleep chamber. These are pretty much like the link above. It does not seem to be that hard to fabricate.

Haven't seen anything on this in years, but we are going to need some lifesized display cases for Star Wars CVII... any ideas?

Go to a custom fabrication shop. One well versed in glass, and cabinet making. I have several of them I could recommend in my hometown.
