I'd tend to agree. Not a bad film in the least but I feel that the first film was a bit smarter and the songs a bit catchier. They played it 'safe' this time around.

That said, I felt that they stayed true to the characters and there wasn't any, "there's no way they'd ever do that" moments.

All my girls loved it, especially the big one called mom

My little girl loved it and I enjoyed it. Of course I always like the adult jokes that go over the kids heads. Also bsj1701 How could you not love Kristoff's power ballad and music video? That was just awesome.

I liked that it was tonally different from the first movie. The score wasn't as catchy but they were haunting and meaningful. They weren't "throwaway songs." Though Anna had more screen time I think that, if she had her own character arc which culminated in her becoming queen, that might have strengthened the thematic symmetry.

They showed that she clearly has the resiliency to be queen, to face big problems and do the best that she can to overcome them. Not just run away from them, like someone else...

Thanks to my 6 year old daughter I can now sing every song from this movie.
