FREEZE!

PAULV70: quick question/request...mind if I try a moded version of that dome setting you have there? Trying a "Freeze" myself and this looks amazing. wat did you use for teh dome itself? I'm looking a a garden cloche but can't seem to find any that do not come in packs of 5 and cost an arm and a leg. best I got is Lee Valley for $32 and I am really trying to make this "on the cheap"

Thanks everyone! I think being mistaken for an action figure is about the highest compliment I could receive.

I got the helmet from this guy on eBay (after spending a few weeks contacting every acrylic manufacturer I could find). I had him modify it so it was 14.5" high. It does have a little ventilation from under the collar in the front and back but it was still pretty hot in there. If I do wear it again I may try to add the Oxygen tank but I definitly need to look into a bald cap. I shaved my head for the first time to pull this off and it is not a good look for me.

I just did a quick check of the eBay seller I bought my dome from but he doesn't seem to have any auctions up right now. You might try sending him a message and see if he responds. Good luck.

Some of the pics in the first post are not showing for me. Any chance you have any close up pics of the pistol?

Making a Freeze gun from the show has been on my "to do" list for about a decade now. Might as well get off my ass and start planning it out :)

Costume looks amazing!

I had an idea for a light weight tank for your costume.

A foam cylinder, foam ball, pvc pipe & pipe cap.
Foam Air Tank.JPG
Cut the ball in half & glue it to the top & bottom of the foam cylinder. Cut a small peice of PVC pipe & glue it to the side of the pipe cap. Cover over the pipe cap with some carboard or plastic & then color in the air dile.
You can use some foam sheet to make the chest peice & glue or strap the foam tank to it.

I absolutely LOVE this costume...well done, sir. BTAS is one of my all time favorites, and Mr. Freeze was my favorite villain on this show.

I think that I may take on doing this costume so I will start a separate thread for the details so that I don't derail this awesome thread.

Again, GREAT WORK. It's nice to see something different and still so true to the original source :)
