I just love this guy! I have a great glove and a latex mask I need to finish and would love to get a sweater and hat for the display can anyone help on where to get a good replica!

Thanks

for the hat your best bet is a local hat shop or search ebay looking for a brown fedora

then you'll just have to dirty it up all depending on what look your going for film wise as they where all different.

sweaters are harder as most of the cheap mass produced sweaters are arse backwards and have a green collar, also they all tend to be very thin and always inacurate

David miller creation does the best part one and a decent pt 5 ( though not accurate) all depending on how much you want to spend your best bet might be having it custome made to your size and then you can get it accurate to any film you choose to replicate

hope that helps a little ;)

I do have sweaters and hats that I could sell you but I'm in the uk and it would then also be a question of them getting to you in time and are they the right size for you

send me a pm if you need more info and I'll try help more :)

If I recall, ravensdreamonline on Ebay sold some nice replicas.

But I believe the best and thickest sweaters are offered by David Miller, the guy who designed the original Freddy make up.

He sells them on ebay under the name elmoscave. Since he is closely associated with the original films, I am sure his sweaters are close to the specs of the originails. He offers a few different film versions.

LOL... You beat me to the David Miller punch... while I was typing.:lol

If you need a quick cheap alternative Hot Topic sells them. They may not be screen accurate but will do in a pinch. I believe they are $25-. If not there is a guy on Frightstuff that sells some nice ones also. He's on ebay too. His id is refrigerardo.

Hot topics sweater is awesome for the price.. Not to mention they have fixed the stripes on the sleeves.. Now they match the body

I found a great hat on Amazon to convert to a nice quality Freddy fedora!
I used a garment steamer to shape it and a cigar torch to distress it. Makes it a little stinky for a few days, but it will dissipate. Kind of IMO adds to the Freddy burnt effect, LOL.
Then I trimmed off the hem (it has a small diameter wire inside that is there for shaping, but really doesn't aid in allowing the brim to fall properly for that Freddy look, so I cut it off.
The base hat is a lot nicer than most of the hats you see made by Halloween costume shops and IMO, even private mass (Freddy) hat makers.

I will post shots of the hat when I first bought it, then after steaming, then after final distressing.
(I didn't take one after cutting off the rim.)
I decided to do that after and it made it look more authentic.
Hope this is helpful to all the Freddy Maniacs out there!
